A new scenography and archaeological objects allow you to discover the history of Durfort, from prehistoric times to the present day. An animated model of a swinging hammer, hammers, copper objects and two videos show you boilermaking techniques that appeared in the 15th century.
A municipal museum created in 1986. It traces the history of boilermaking, an ancestral know-how passed down from generation to generation. An animated model, two videos and an exhibition explain the swinging hammer work and the leaf work that have made Durfort one of the French capitals of copper boilermaking recognised throughout the world since the 16th century. An exhibition of old objects and the reconstruction of a workshop will enrich your visit.
For groups: open all year round by reservation.
